Advertise with the
Dance Connection

This year the Dance Connection is
trying something new for our
recital program. The recital program will be a full color printed book using high quality colors and paper instead of the plain paper ones we’ve used in the past.

We are selling ad space ranging in
size from business card size for
$25 up to a full page for $200. Our
goal is to get enough advertisers to
cover the cost of printing and not
have to charge for them at the
shows.

The expected distribution is nearly
2000 copies to family and friends
across the South Metro Area.
If you’re interested in advertising,
or know of someone who might
be,  please download and submit the order form along with payment to the Dance Connection by March 17, 2012

Also, you may purchase a student
“shout  out”  or message to publish
in the program for your dancer to
see! One line is $10 and 2 lines is
$20 (see samples at bottom of ad
order form)

Thank you for your interest!

February 2012 Newsletter

Bring a Friend to Dance Week

During the week of Feb. 13th-17th you may bring a friend to your dance class/classes with you
to show them what you’ve learned and how much fun dance can be. Also, wear your favorite
color to dance!

They don’t need to have any former dance experience or dance attire. Just tell them to come
as they are and plan to have a great time!

PARENTS  WEEK INFORMATION

WHEN:
March 5th  -  March 10th

Instructors will be giving out information regarding how the costumes should look on picture
day and answering any questions that you may have about picture day.

You will also get a packet full of information about the ticket ordering process, dress rehearsal
schedule, summer class information, etc.

Also, please check the spelling of your child’s name on the packet to verify that it is correct.
We would like to endure that the correct information will appear in the recital program.

FATHER/DAUGHTER RECITAL DANCE
INFORMATION & REHEARSAL DATES

Our annual father/daughter dance is kicking off once again!

We are offering this to dancers who are 8 years old & up. All dancers and dads participating
must attend four rehearsals (includes dress rehearsals), which will start in April to learn
the routine.

The theme this year is a jungle theme and the costume for this dance will be something
you already own or can borrow. Each father/daughter couple will only perform in one of
the three recital performances.

Any father interested in participating must come to the first rehearsal to sign up. There will
be no charge for participation again this year.

Practice Schedule:

Saturday, April 21    2:00-4:00 pm
Saturday, May 12     2:00-4:00 pm
Tuesday, May 22      6:00-8:00 pm

The date for the dress rehearsal at Eastview High School will be posted once available.

NEW RECITAL AND DRESS REHEARSAL DATES

DRESS REHEARSALS:
Will be Monday May 21st and Wednesday May 23rd after 4:30 pm. There will be a detailed
schedule coming out soon. Most classes will only have to attend one of the dress rehearsals.

RECITAL SHOWS:
Will be on Tuesday May 29th, Thursday May 31st, and Monday June 4th. All shows will
be at 6:00 and done by 8:30/9:00.

All creative kids and tap/pre-ballet classes will be done within the first part of the show (usually
about an hour after it starts) and can either choose to leave or stay for the remainder of the show.

The dress rehearsals and recitals will be held at Eastview High School in Apple Valley.
We did the best we could do to get these dates. The school gets priority in scheduling because
school is still in session. We were also competing with the Memorial Day weekend, prom, and
graduation and trying not to go to far into the month of June. We’ve never had a conflict like this
come up in the past so thanks for understanding and we apologize for any confusion.

Visit the Upcoming Events page to view the recital performance schedule

Last Day of Classes will be Saturday, May 19, 2012

Parking Lot

Please pull into a spot when dropping off your kids. Sitting in your car at the front door make it
very frustrating for others trying to back out from their parking spot. This is a common complaint
among many. Also, with snow on the ground, please don’t “create” your own spot to park. Make
sure a car can park on either side of you. We know the parking lot can get crazy at times but with
everybody’s cooperation, it will be much better. Parking is also available at the dentist office just
north of us.

Thank You
