Rosemount Modern Dance Classes
Modern dance employs a theatrical dance form that rejects the limitations of classical ballet but embraces expressive and creative movement derived from the dancer’s inner feeling.
Students studying this dance form will be encouraged to connect ideas, emotions and experiences from life and then express them through dance.
Students will gain basic understanding of modern technique as well as explore movement through partnering, strengthening core muscles, learning lifts, testing balance, utilizing improvisation, and learning and creating choreography.
