January 2014 Newsletter

IMG_1106Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! Thank you for all of the wonderful cards, gifts and donations to Toys for Tots.  I feel very blessed to know such wonderful and caring people.

The last month was full of incredibly exciting events! A special shout out to all the wonderful dancers (17 of them!) who were part of Rosemount High School’s OnStage production; Christmas at the Steeple Center, the famous Tournament of Roses Parade (RHS Marching Band), and the award winning high school dance teams in the area. The amount of talent in this area is remarkable!

And with all of this incredibly cold weather, what could be better than a photo of dancing on the beach in California to get us in the mood for warmer weather ahead?

Please check back here for monthly newsletters and updates including important dates and information that are given out each month.

Attendance Reminder

Regular attendance is essential for proper dance development. The recital dances are choreographed according to the number of students in each class, therefore everyone should be in class in order to present the dance the best they can. Please contact the school if you will not be attending class.

Costumes will be arriving during the next several weeks. Parents will be invited inside the classroom to help their dancer try them on and will receive information about how the costume is supposed to look. If you are not available at this time, please ask the instructor for any information you may have missed. Please note that all account balances (including tuition) must be up-to-date and current to receive your dancer’s costumes.

Picture Days Coming Soon

The 2014 class picture schedule will be available soon and sent home with your dancer and posted here on the site as soon as it becomes available. Pictures will be taken March 6th, 7th and 8th. Please note that Amy’s and Jenny’s classes will be cancelled on March 6th and March 8th. However, Tammy and Alex will still be holding their classes on Thursday, March 6th.

Class Cancellations Reminder

Please remember that studio classes are not always cancelled when the schools are due to inclement weather. If you fell that there is a question as to whether or not classes will be held, check back here, the Facebook page or call the studio to hear the studio message left on the answering service. Please also remember, there is not a discount for snow days. We will have any closing posted 2 hours prior to the first class of the night.  Snow days do not need to be made up but if you’d like, you may come to another class of the same level. Tap here to view the class schedules.
