Alex Lipinski brings to the Dance Connection over fifteen years of dance experience studying a variety of styles including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, post-modern, lyrical, hip hop and belly dance. She has performed in a number of award winning senior-level dance routines as a former competition student at the Dance Connection and also performed as a member of Hamline University’s Dance Ensemble where she has trained with the Twin Cities’ top choreographers in modern, jazz and hip hop.
She has studied under prominent university-level dance professionals from across the Midwest at the American College Dance Festival. Alex made an appearance at Bremer Bank’s annual corporate celebration, dancing with CEO’s in the company’s own Dancing with the Stars. Recently, Alex performed as a member of the Modern Times Spychestra at the Walker Art Center for an audience of 5,000 as part of Music and Movies in the Park sponsored by City Pages and 89.3 The Current.
She has been teaching at the Dance Connection for over 5 years in a variety of styles and age levels. Alex has performed as a dancer at various theatre events throughout the Twin Cities area. Alex coaches for Saint Paul Public Schools community education programs in both gymnastics and dance. In May 2012 Alex will graduate with a B.A. in Psychology from Hamline University.
